Shoe soles

Shoe soles
are frequently manufactured from plasticized PVC. Its advantages include low cost as well as reduced weight and material usage in the case of foamed soles (using Porofor® ADC/M-C1 or *Genitron® SCE).

For soles designed for industrial use, the addition of plasticizers such as Baymod® PU can make the soles resistant to alkaline solutions, acids, oils, greases and chemicals as well as ensuring that they are resistant to abrasion.

* Genitron® is a registered trademark of Bayer AG, Leverkusen. In Japan and North and South America it is sold under the tradename Ficel®.
