Housing for Electrical Appliances

Electrical appliances
such as televisions, computers and photocopiers pose a high fire risk, which means that the casing must be made flame retardant.

Disflamoll® TP is particularly suitable for casings made from ABS (Novodur®) or PC + ABS (Bayblend® ), possibly in combination with other flame retardants.

Blowing agents are used in the production of bulky components (casings) to prevent the formation of sink marks during the injection molding process.

Different products are used for different processing temperatures: products from the Genitron® EP range for ABS, and Genitron® UN 30 or Genitron® AFA for PC + ABS.

* Genitron® is a registered trademark of Bayer AG, Leverkusen. In Japan and North and South America it is sold under the tradename Ficel®.
